Question What's growing from my heater?

I apologize for the bad photos but I cannot get a clear image of it. It is tiny only 1 cm in size, color is somewhere between medium dark green. Kind of looks like a thread with smaller threads coming from that. The top of the heater is covered in black beard algae.

I have had java moss in there before but this does not have the fine feathery hairs. Looks like green thread with little threads randomly sprouting from it

Oh ok. I've never really heard of something like that other than java moss, but it could be algae I guess...

It’s algae growing from what looks like aufwuchs/periphyton

Looks like this green stuff but only a couple small strands. Found the picture looking up periphyton.
