I have come into possession of a 2gal. As it awfully small I was wondering what fish can I put in it?
You would have to a lot of regular water changes.Although some would argue it's too small, you could get a betta. 2 gallons is much more than many bettas get.
Is lucky bamboo a plant? Actually I was thinking along the betta lines but wasn't sure if it will be cruel-ish.A betta would be good - you could also put 5-7 neon tetras in. Or maybe one or two of the African dwarf frogs. The betta might be fun if you also put some of the lucky bamboo in a back corner. The betta would have fun swimming through the roots.
A two gal. could be used as a secondary quarantine/ nursery tank in a pinch depending on what you put in it.. but as a permanent home, it might not be the optimum size for any species even single Bettas, Neons , or Guppies
LOL Dave... most women are more active! How would anything get done from sitting in a recliner with the remote in hand if it wern't for women eh?

I'm going to try and get a female. if not I might see if I can get this one swapped with one slightly bigger.Great choice Sabi!! are you going to go with a male or female betta??

Is it wide or tall, if it's wide it would be better than if it's tall, bettas could care less for tall tanks.
What about a nano saltwater tank
