Hahaha, but did you see how dangerous it is to other things in your tank and how sensitive it is to the slightest change? I can't have it with soft corals or inverts!

Look at THIS! I want it. I need it. I WILL have it and is so cheap!
I love what it does woot woot!

Not pretty but probably in my must have list of maybes lol

Definitely want this

But, umm... That would cost more than my tank! lol
Funny thing... even though the link you left me was liveaquaria, it took me to another site, liveaquariu.com Looks cool. I'm going exploring... cover me lol

I like the dragon sea moth....

The great part is that it states that a perfect companion would be a HORSIE WOO HOO!

What happened? Is everyone ok?

I also have bad news. He won't let go of the corner tank, its a 100G tank. He said, "Its my precious!" With a Lord of the Rings accent and a bit of a gay lisp. lol

Geez! My heart stopped just in reading that! I'm glad she's ok now. Do the doc's know what's wrong? and yeah, unfortunately, unless you're rich, you really can't afford to be sick or have any emergencies.

lol yep I know what you mean. shes fine.... she was born a few weeks premature so its kinda just a problem they say shell grow out of, this is the first time its happened since she came home. it happened a few hours after she was born to, my mother was looking in the nursery and saw it and banged on the glass till one of the nurses saw also...they were busy doing something else I guess...I'm just glad my mom saw it.

we just had to blow in her face for a few seconds, but I didnt know how long it had been so I just wanted to be on the safe side....

so now it will just take probly a year instead of six months for my tank....lol

leximommy
  • #102
nope.... not anything,.... I don't think a bird would work well either, I want something that she can handle occasinally, but, not a cat or dog

Are you thinking snake? HA! No, me neither. Its good that we're on the same thinking page. I think the only things left are rodents. The downside is that they are mainly nocturnal. You'll need a very quiet wheel! lol

lol you mean like a hamster or rat...(~~ewww~~)

I may be able to do a hamster but id have to figure it out first....lol I had one like 10 years ago, so I don't know all that much....

I don't know what more there is, especially for a child. With dog's Chow Chows are great, but, expensive and emotionally sensitive. Chihuahua's are not as expensive, especially if you get a crossbreed/mut. Very excitable, but, sharp nails so keep them trim. They'll scratch but no more than that. Plus the added bonus of little hair removal. Keep clean and get female for no musk odor.

Cats? You're on your own! lol

I don't suggest fish if you want her to handle them. They tend to get the pillow when if you want to sleep with them.

lol my husband was telling me a story ...I think you'll like it.... when he was younger the hamster they had hated the little ball thingy you put themin and they roll around on the floor.... well one day they let the cat in the house when the hamster was on the floor, and he said from that day on if the hamster didnt move around in the ball the cat did it for him...lol sorry it was funny the way he told it...lol
, I can't find any wire cages that you can connect those tube thingys to.... should I just get a regular cage then get a little "maze" cage thingy to put it in every now and then...? I dunno... what do you think....

lol I don't mean to brag, but my little girl is so adorable I wish you could see her.... shes only 4 months old but already has a favorite toy. (her little horsy rattle) and when I kiss her neck she giggles...(THIS IS THE FIRST TIME SHES EVER GIGGLED!!! IM SOOOOOO HAPPY!!!LOL)

I was just told they have fallen out of favor because of becoming a nitrate factory! I wonder if there is a way around this. I'll have to read more about how these bacteria = nitrate later. I know the basics, but, maybe I'll find something useful.

So I'm now thinking Horsies, Dartfish, Dragonets, Gobies and Jawfish mix. I know I will have to be cautious, but, I'm just thinking for now. Not yet sure. I would however like to have a schooling species, which, unfortunately I don't think are compatible with horsies. I also have to see if the moth is compatibe with the rest.

Latest update

My friends came over from Nebraska, so I spent a lil money. Now I don't have enough to up my bid on the tank. Oh well. I'll just have to save up, sigh. On the bright side, it'll give me a little longer to plan and learn.
