Yuma isn't the closest, but, we drive through often enough on our way to Mexico. If I don't go myself, there is ALWAYS a family member going, like weekly. With the inadequecy of my medical insurance, I have been recently forced to go to our family doctors in Mexico. So I'll be going more frequently.
And Allie, as of yesterday I lost the bid. Though it isn't quite over yet. But, I don't want ot get my hopes up again.

No... Tank first. Remember? Picky me. Besides, from what I've been seeing, 180G bow front acrylic for $880-890 isn't that expensive (by comparison that is)

Oh wow, you're a kid! I though I had seen you were 47 somewhere...oops! lol... So the tank alone would cost me 660 on freight ugh!
leximommy

47?! I'm insulted lol no jk..... is that a problem?
how did you find the freight price?
bhcaaron

No problem. Now I just think your a fun kid as opposed to a fun mommy age lady lol... If you click on the buy button it lets you select options and then click continue to figure out freight w/o having to buy it. They are in tenesse.

All right! I see where this is going! ahahahah jk
There hasn't been any higher bids. I keep wondering if its the same owner different screen name bidding just to raise the price. Bad comes to worse, I can just buy the 180G here, free delivery & set up. But, can you imagine having to buy 225Lbs of rock? For me, that's around 1500 dollars... eek! more than the tank and stand!

goodgod man! .....hey do you get a tax return?

I think so. Insanity falls under mental disorders right?
leximommy

then why don't you use your tax return to buy the tank?
bhcaaron

Oh wait, I thought I read that live rock was like seven dollars per pound. LiveAquaria has the most expensive one I saw close to four dollars a pound. So that brings it back down to $900.00
No, I meant if I get a credit for being insane I might get money back lol
leximommy
#71
lol that makes no sence.... I don't know what your tax situation is but last year we got 6 000 back....so....maybe you'll get lucky and you'll get a huge tank....
I'm gonna read my kids a nemo book and get them to sleep...if your on later ill talk to you then, if not, then see ya later....

lol. Nevermind, But, no. I usually have to pay a little to the state. Especially since the casino I now work for (for the past nine months) has never opened its books to Arizona State Revenue (yes it is legal, it just means we all have to pay it in one large sum at tax season).
leximommy

are you serious? that's gotta suck I'm sorry....lol anyways.... have you decided what type of fish you want (besides the lionfish....lol)
bhcaaron

Well I can't have lionfish because it doesn't play well with others and I can't have horsies because the others don't play well with them. I think I'm going to work from the bottom up. First is liverock and sand. Starting with the cleaning crew, which one's don't harm the rocks and future corals and such? At the same time which of these are most versatile in their compatibility with other species? I'm hoping for a couple of gobies maybe, so which is a good mix with many? And so on and so forth. Once I can compile a list of as many variables as I can, I can start picking and choosing, probably by weeding out. I love Nemo's cast and crew, but, too many now have them. At the same time I want fish that are sought after so I can maintain my hobby. For example, I saw this one lion fish type that is worth $400. Ugly, but, if one could be sold every other month, that could keep up with the tank's maintenance. But, first I have to have a tank. Once I have that, I want the best I can for my new and future aquatic children. Ugh... I think too much. Then again, I'll probably see one and fall in love with it and plan everything around it! lol I think I do want one... ummm... what are they called? I know its not flocking species, 'cuz that's birds (goofy laugh)... but the fishie equivalent lol.
leximommy
#75
you mean a school? (I know a flock of birds is the same as a school of fish.....)
ideas for starters, help keep tank clean and such....

OMG! I was so hoping for colorful ones! That is awesome! That cucumber OMG! but, that detterent it has, will it harm others? I wonder. And I knew it as school, but, I've seen the word shoal on here didn't want to miss peil sumthan lol
leximommy
#77
lol I didnt even know shoal...(I think....) but I don't know if it hurts others or not....I looked at that but can't seem to find anything on it. there is a few other starfish you might like also, a red one a blue one and a purple one...
