Hello I was wondering what veggies I can give my guppies and if garlic is good for them too.

Good morning,

Yes, Garlic is good for your fish. It helps to boost the fishes immune system and too act as a food enhancer for finicky eaters.

I soak my fishes treats in Garlic Guard twice a week along with Vita Chem:

Vita Chem for additional vitamins:

Garlic juice:
https://www.fishlore.com/aquariumfi...r-just-an-example-for-those-needing-it.62705/

Making your own from fresh garlic juice:
"Benefits of garlic:

Purifies blood; detoxifies; lowers cholesterol levels; lowers blood pressure; blood thinner; prevents blood clots; boost immune system; prevents heart disease and strokes; destroys cancer cells; muscle relaxant; antibiotic; antifungal; suppresses growth of tumors
Using a medium size bulb; peel cloves apart, snip off ends; microwave cloves for 5 to 10 seconds to pop hulls; remove hulls; cut the length of the cloves in thin slices; place in cup of hot (from tap) water; cover, and let sit at room temperature for 12 hrs; mash the cloves and strain for immediate use; refrigerate until needed. good for two to three weeks.
The longer the cloves soak, the stronger the solution."

The information above comes from the link below:

Storing Fresh Garlic:

Veggies: Romaine lettuce, zucchini, cucumber, spinich, some like fruit too but never tried it myself. I'm sure others will add more veggie selections.

A lot of the same benefits we see in humans from eating garlic are mirrored in our fishy friends. Garlic is just a wonderful thing all-around.

carrots and peas you can give them too. VItamin C, and the carrots enhance color. I don't thinkg your suppose to feed the guppies garlic, but soak their food in it, its just for taste. Guppies will eat and nibble on just about anything, just don't spoil your water.

My guppy loves her garlic pieces. She gets two finely chopped pieces every other day. And since posting this I have learned she loves kale, broccoli, carrots, cucumber, squash, jalapenos, avacho(betta loves it too),apples, limes, lemons, watermelon, grapes, blueberries, and peas

I haven't tried garlic... I may have to give it a go tonight.
I've fed all my fish peas. Just make sure you break up the peas into small pieces. While guppies CAN work their way through a whole pea, they will argue over it.

I've also found my fish like cucumber. I tried to bait snails with it. (The advice being put the cucumber in the tank over night, the snails will move in on it, then you can just lift them out.) It didn't work for the snails (Lesson of that day, cucumber floats. If it floats the snails can't get to it...) but the fish LOVED it.
