What type of worms are these?

Baburelli

For a few weeks now I have been finding dead shrimp in one of my well established (2 yrs) 5g heavily planted shrimp tank. Sometimes as many as 4 per day. I also noticed many hair thin squiggly reddish worms sticking out the substrate and I just noticed one wiggling through the water column. If I didn't have dead shrimp at the same time I wouldn't worry too much. Now I wonder if they could be Camallanus worms.

How big are the worms? What color are they in the tank?

About an inch or shorter and on my black substrate they look orange.

I am going to venture a guess and say tubifex worms. They look closest to those for me.

Thank you, I hope they are! Just don't know how they got into my tank. Nothing has changed/added in there for many months.
