Looks like a common pleco the minimum tank size is a 180 gallon I think. They are poop machines so do more frequent water changes.

Coloring makes me think more rubberlip than anything, but definitely not 100% on that.

A rubberlip has a different pattern and the "snout" of a rupperlip is flat unlike the pleco in the pic

Even if it were a common, it would top out just under 20 inches. However, "Common" is currently one of the sailfin Plecos (Pterygoplichthys pardalis), and it does not have that spotted body with lines on the face. The body markings are closer to another Sailfin Pleco, Pt. gibbiceps, but they also have spots on the face. Best guess is one of the Hypostomus species, with max size between 15-20 inches.

Odds are you will never be able to identify this Pleco as to exact species without knowing exactly where in originated in the wild, and even that isn't likely to help much. Just call it a Pleco, and assume that it can reach a foot and a half in length. The idea that common Pleco can reach 2 feet is based on repeating over and over what has been claimed, without any evidence. If you ever saw an 18 inch Pleco, the average hobbyist might erroneously overestimate the length.

With that size i doubt a 125 gallon would work if there are other fish in it.
