What type of plant is this?

Hello,
I got a bundle of different plants and this was one in the bundle I have no idea what it is and was wondering if anyone could tell me. Also why are some leaves dark green and some lighter green? Thank you

That sure looks like the Echinorindointudonions that Redshark1 writes of . Also called by the common family name = a sword.

Many of these plants are grow immersed with just their rots in water as they would be in a forest in the dry season. When we put them in deep water as the flooded forest would be in the wet season.

Nurseries do this to grow the plants fast. When in water all the leaves will need to change to wet season leaves. All the old leaves die and new ones will be suitable for a life under water.

A couple of those brown leaves can come off as it will help the plant put its e energy into new growth.
