What type of music do you listen to?

What type of music do you listen to? That doesnt mean you like it. Or does it?

Ah, can't argue with that, then. ;D
As I said above (somewhere or another), I listen to everything. There are, of course, genres that I like better than others, but I listen to so much that I've ended up learning about the very basics of music (back to the point where music was simply rhythm and nothing else. It still exists, albeit in an incredibly refined form, in taiko drumming. There are also African tribal drum groups)

I consider myself pretty well-versed in anything from the 20s on down, and some stuff from earlier (ie classical music), but you've certainly got me beat with all the earlier stuff!

You also probably have a better grasp of music in general. I've learned a lot of historical information on a very wide range of times and cultures, but haven't focused on much of anything. I can play simple tunes on a piano or recorder and pull a sketchy rhythm from a drum, and that's about it.

I don't know about that.
But I got my classical influence from 11 years of piano lessons. I also learned a lot about the whole history of rock music and related genres (blues, jazz, etc) from my own personal studies, as well as a class I took last year in college called History of Rock and Roll. (best class ever!)

By the time you would have seen Styx, the rest of the band would have totally hated the lead (I guess he was a jerk to them) and they would've been doing it solely for the money.

The two best shows I've ever seen have been Rob Zombie and Panic! at the Disco.
Panic! was so good that I think that people who didn't even like their music probably would have had fun at the concert. It was done like a huge carnival or circus. Probably the best part of the show was the gigantic marching band cadence.

I saw them on the 4th of July this year. Yeah, it wasn't that great.
