What type of moss is this?

Hpup456

I bought java moss and It grew slow and wouldn't attach to anything. Then when I got some cherry shrimp the lady gave me some moss, and said it was Christmas moss. It grows very fast compared to the java moss, which I think it overtook the java moss because there is almost none left, and it attaches to anything, even a smooth plastic breeder box. My issue is it seems much more stringy then pictures of Christmas moss online. It doesn't have any Christmas tree formations on it. Could it be to little light or nutrients. I keep some under a fluval plant light and it grows the same as some under cheap Walmart light with about 5 LEDs. Or maybe a different kind of moss?

In my experience christmas moss does not grow the christmas tree formations in low tech, I've only seen it do that in my tanks with co2 and good light.

If I put it in a tank with CO2 would it start to grow the Christmas tree formations? I'm thinking about selling some next time I bring fish to my lfs and don't want to false advertise or give bad quality.

It probably would i think
