What type of fish is this?

    Can somebody please tell me what type of fish this is. I think it's a goby, but not sure what type. I got it at the pet store for free because they did not know they had it and it some how got on the tank. The fish is freshwater and sort of see through. Please help thank you.

    I'd agree that it looks like a goby, but I am not very familiar with them.

    Was it in the ghost shrimp feeder tank? Looks like a darter, maybe a swamp darter. They come in as stowaways with shrimp orders. Another common stowaway is the bluefin killifish.

    He looks just like my little swamp darter, also a ghost shrimp stow away. Mine is the cutest little devil, readily eats fish flakes, will also take care of stray snails and mine loves his frozen bloodworms. I find that the little swamp darter I got loves hiding out in the plants especially java moss.

    Enjoy your cute little guy! I sure love the personality mine has!
