This will sound cruel and I apologize but, honestly, there's nothing you can do. Guppies are so cheap and easy to breed that you can't really give them away except as feeder fish to other established aquarists.

Unless you have a lot of friends who want free guppies and are able to keep the males and females in 2 separate takes from a very young age, you're going to, eventually, start letting nature lower the population

If you can, trade them at your local fish store for: store credit/fish food/plants/other fish/hardscape
Honestly, if they are down to trade you can trade them for almost anything they are selling. Just establish how much the guppies are worth to them in $ and bargain your way in.

Your problem is not the 20 spare guppies you have now - it's the 40 more you will have next month and the 40 the month after that and the month after that etc etc. Once a female guppy has been impregnated she can store the sperm for months and keep producing fry every 28 days or so even if she is separated from any males.

Yeah there will always be too many babies, that's why culling is essential in keeping a healthy population.

Personally I feed half to my bettas during the first 2 weeks of their lives. Then wait for them to color up so I can selectbwhich I want before round 2 of culling.
