What To Do With Picky Betta

I have a single betta in a 37g tank that is cycled, I originally got him some floating pellets that my LFS fed their bettas, I also got some bloodworms for a treat. I decided to feed him a pellet every twelve hours with a bloodworm once on Tuesday and again on Friday. It went well for a little bit, he ate his second day in the tank, but then he started spitting out his pellets and ignoring them, and so I would have to get them out of the tank, but he would still happily eat his bloodworms. I got the omega buffet food that sinks, he chases it and then ignores it! And I know it’s gonna make my ammonia go up! I tried fasting him for two days but it didn’t work. Any ideas?

I've yet to encounter a fish that doesn't like Fluval Bug Bites. The light blue labelled container, for small tropical fish, is the perfect sized pellet for a betta. You didn't mention anything regarding his activity and overall health, so perhaps you have a betta with one heck of a refined palate ompous:

You haven't met my Morty. I bought him Bug Bites for a treat, and he totally ignores them. He only eats Tetra betta pellets.

My betta is ‟passive aggresive‟ if one of my shrimp gets some then he stares and they drop. my betta eats EVERYTHING.

Try Omega One betta buffet pellets. They’re made with salmon and herring as the first ingredients. The second my fish smells it, he’s on it.

This is the only food my fish will eat. Although he’s so picky he’ll eat this.

It smells like a fish market hahaha that’s probably why.

No way! That stuff is like candy to some of my fish, and I have a few picky eaters.
