What To Do About Hydra?

I have some detritus worms in my tank as everyone does and sometimes I see one and will just focus on it, while watching the worm I noticed hydra and I began to look around the tank I spotted it on multiple surfaces. I have a Betta fish, one harliqiuen rasbora (temporary), mystery snail and three shrimp.
How can I kill the hydra without taking my tank apart as that isn’t possible right now? And they are on too many surfaces to just “wipe them off”, thanks so much!

Fenbendazole kills hydra[and planaria] in one dose.
1 gram of 22% mixed into 200ml water .Then add 20ml of mix per 10gof volume to tank.

I would just not feed your fish for a couple of days They will take care of the hydra as well as the detritus worms for you. Have done that with my betta in the past and it went really well and happened within 2 days. I don't know your betta's personality. Some will go after the shrimp if they get hungry but the betta and harlequin will start eating the hydra very efficiently. Most antI hydra medication will kill your shrimp and snails.

Thank you so much, where can I buy it?
Most pet stores sell it .
Look in dog section for Panacur de wormer.

I’ll try that before I do anything else, I’m thinking I should keep the lights off to prevent any algae from growing so they don’t have any scource of food (the hydra)

Hydra are little animals that look like tiny palm trees and attach to your glass and plants. They are harmless except to baby shrimp

I don't know if turning off your light will be necessary. For me my hydra problem was solved by me going on a short work trip where I didn't feed my fish You might also want to feed a little less since hydra and especially detritus worms usually come from too much uneaten food

From what I’ve seen they can attack adult shrimp as well as small fish and baby fry

Probably not nessecary, but it may help because this tank particularly gets a lot of algae which could be a good scource of “food” since I don’t overfeed considering it’s certainly enough for them to eat in 5 minutes (takes less than a minute usually)

I think you will get rid of it before long. In case you can't there is an invert safe medication against hydra it's called hydra gone or something along those lines It's usually used in shrimp only tanks Good hunting!
