What Substrate Should Be Used For Crawfish?

Can crawfish ke kept in a tank where there is plenty of hiding places, lots of live plants but no moss?
I have medium to small sized pebbles as substrate. Can they be kept there or they need softer or finer substrate like sand, soil, grains or any fine particles or moss? I have lots of live plants though. And I will keep just 1 in a 25g community tank.

They will thrive in most substrates, and pebbles should be fine, but be sure to add lots of plants and decor for them to climb.

I think it'll be okay- what kind of crayfish are you planning on keeping?

honestly I don't know the name of the crawfish. Its the red one, about 4 cm long approx. The pet shop sells it by the name lobster. He said its lobster. He did not give me any other name. I am pretty doubtful whether he even knows its name. He called it as lobster. Its the pretty common one I guess as when I looked at the internet on crawfish I found out s of it easily that looks just like the one I saw at the shop.

Doesn't matter. Just make sure the food doesn't fall through into those cracks in the gravel as the crayfish will likely not be able to reach it.
