    MTS, or Malaysian Trumpet Snail.
No, it's not bad for your tank.

Pests snails are a debatable topic. They are good for your tank, but like everything, moderation is needed.
Pest snails will clean up your tank for you and at the same time will tell you if you are over feeding by having a population explosion

Thanks only 1 was visible today and it was seen for first time. Should I reduce feed of fishes?

Yes, don't overfeed and you shouldn't have a problem.

IME they can be a pain and overpopulate the aquarium even without overfeeding, but interestingly have done this in only one of my six tanks.

This is a 40 gallon heavily planted aquarium with 20 Neon Tetras which don't need much food at all.

I am happy to have a few of them. But I must be able to see through the glass.

In my case I have managed their numbers down effectively by siphoning some of them out at each water change.
