What Plants Can Grow In Rocks

Leafydragon

I’m planning to start the tank set up within a couple fo weeks so it can cycle and was wondering what kind of pants I should get? I’ve using a tank divider (since I plan to have one betta and can only have one tank) and on the betta side I was planning on putting regular aquarium gravel (like the fun colored ones you normally find at pet stores) and on the other side for the African dwarf frogs I planned to put some kind of river rocks because I heard the frogs can sometimes hurt themselves on or eat the gravel.
I know I want to have live plants and I was wondering how exactly that would work? I’m planning on putting a marimo moss ball into both sides but I’m not sure what else will grow.
I was also wondering if someone could explain exactly how to help them grow in these substrates? Also should I add the plants before or after cycling my tank?

Here is a list of all the plants at the store near me:

Rosette sword
Compacts amazon
Anubias congensis
Windelov java fern
FrazerI anubias
Anubias nana
Anubias frazeri
Temple compacta
Gold ribbon
El Niño fern
Peacock fern
Umbrella plant
Narrow leaf fern
amazon sword
Anubias species
Banana plant
Aponogeton
Marimo moss

Anubis and ferns can all be tied to or attached to rocks as well as any type of moss.
