What New things/friends did you bring home today?

It seems like people always like sharing what new friends/things they got from a lfs or in the mail on whatever day it is, so why not make a topic where we can share with everybody.

I'll start it out:

8-6-07
Today I brought home a two-way gang-valve, 25' of clear airline tubing, package of aquaclear bags, and a check valve.

I hate this idea. Just kidding, it is great, but I won't be able to post any new things until Sept. 16 when there is a huge auction for fish/plants/equipment and my parents said if I don't spend anymore money on my current fish(unless and emergency) I would be able to take out about $100-200 and go for the day. I would try to get some more plants to fill my tanks and some more galaxy rasboras and kuhlI loaches.

LOL I need a paycheck, reffing soccer isn't enough, it's just too seasonal and 400-500$ only goes so far with fish, especially with :;z around

Not suffering from MTS (yet), but I am going through a bit of TUS (tank upgrade syndrome). I got a Penguin 100B filter from Drs. F&S to replace the Top Fin filter that came with my 10 gallon tank setup from Petsmart, along with the digital thermometer they have on sale. The package actually arrived on Thursday, but had to wait until today to be installed as we headed out to the beach Thursday night.

So today I decided to run up to Petsmart and see if they had gotten in the screw-in compact florescent bulbs to replace the two incadescent tubes in the light that came with the tank. They had them, but they also had the Perfecto 20" florescent light fixture on sale. The fixture was $4 more than the cost of two bulbs, so I said 'what the ****' and just bought the Perfecto.

So now my fish can see better, will have a cleaner tank, and I'll have a more accurate idea of the water temp.

Today I got 10 corydoras for my 125 gallon tank that's being set up for discus.

6x C. Paleatus, 4x C. Punctatus. One of the Paleatus is acting strange (has a hard time staying on the bottom for long - I think it swallowed a little too much air) so I'm gonna keep an eye on them, but it should be fine.

Also got the rest of the gravel and sand I needed for the substrate. Started to fill it and waiting for the water to clear

Not sure if it counts but I ordered 10 rummynose tetras and 20 cardinals.

Today, am going to give away a load of my molly babies, and I'll get some amano shrimps in exchange!

Am also tempted to get a cory or two for my 10G to go with my betta.

He is really cool looking.... when he is out... he has been in a tree stump since we got him... I hope as he gets more comfortable with his tank so he will come out more... would be a shame for such an awsome looking fish not to be seen.

(I am finding out that a lot of the cooler cats work the night shift and often not seen) :-\
