What Meds Should I keep on Hand?

I am planning on getting bettas (yes this may change before long, but, this is the new plan for now... anyways...) I hope to always have healthy fish and never have on get sick... but... it doesn't work that way.

I have a separate 5G tank I plan on using as a quarantine/hospital tank. I know its a good Idea to also have some meds on hand should any problems arise.

What meds should I keep on hand? What are each of your recomendations for (what does it treat)? How common is it?

The meds we'd recommend for Bettas:
Triple Sulfa, Furan-2 & Kanaplex - antibiotics, mainly would use triple sulfa or Furan-2 but kanaplex would be for dropsy & serious rot issues.

Rid-Fungus - anti-fungal, for finrot and other fungus problems.

Ich-Attack - to assist in clearing ich.

Parasite Clear - for parasites.

Vitachem, Fish Protector & Garlic Guard would be good supplements for them. Prime and NovAqua+ together are what we use for tap water treatment.

I read that after breeding, it is good to place them in medicated water to prevent infection of injuries sustained during mating. What kind of medication would that be? I'm guessing antibiotics.

How is the risk of illness reduced by keeping the water warmer? I'm planning on 82F.

Are you considering breeding Bettas? It's an arduous and expensive breeding, requiring many tanks (at least a half-dozen not counting jars) and pretty much an entire room.

Its a consideration only for now. If I do, it will be when I've gotten used to keeping them and have the resources for them. I hope to be getting a second part time job. With three jobs, I know I won't have the time so it will be after that... maybe lol.
