wat kind of skimmer would anyone suggest to me as a VERY NEWBY in saltwater aquarium.I have been doing my research alot. I have a 75 gallon aquarium and I would like to set up a FOWLR type aquarium. I will not start my nitrogen cycle unless I have everything that I need.

FYI, what I already have are:
aquarium
sump

what else do I need?

HI lexy, welcome to FishLore!!!
I hope you don't mind, I moved your question to a thread of it's own.
You should get more responses this way.

Goodluck!

Welcome!! For a 75 gallon you will need a skimmer that will deliver 700 plus gallons per hour preferabile a venturI driven skimmer with a pump. Do you have a sump?

A general rule of thumb is to get twice the skimmer as your tank capacity. For a 75gl I have a 150 capacity skimmer. As luck would have it the thing broke this weekend. I had to get some PVC pipe glue and am praying that it will hold together.

As stang said - venturI is best. No need to deal with an airstone then.

The most popular skimmers these days are needle wheel skimmers. 150-160 gallon capacity is about right.

I like the aqua c remora, what ever you choose don't skimp on a cheap skimmer you will end up paying twice as much replacing it, and still end up spending hte money on a nicer one later
