I'm planning on having sand/substrate in my 75 gallon tank and was wondering what kind of sand/substrate I should use? I was thinking on using the flourite black sand, the CaribSea Aquarium Substrates, or the flourite substrate.

    Any suggestions

If you want black those would be fine. If you want something lighter and much cheaper, lots of people use pool filter sand :)

Oh and I'm also planning on putting hardy plants in there, too.

If you have a tractor supply near you. Go grab some bags of black diamond blasting sand(coal slag) 8 bucks for a 50lb bag used it in my last planted tank looks great and works well. Play sand and pool filter sand are also good

I'm using Black Diamond Blasting sand and am very pleased with it. I have some live plants growing well in it already. It's only $8 for a 50lb bag at Tractor Supply.
