I was checking the fish at one of the pet stores near me and saw 2 pieces of driftwood covered with some kind of moss and I love the look of it. I am wondering what could they be. Any ideas?

It kinda reminds me of a Marimo Moss Ball.

I'd like to make my driftwood look like this.

Any help will be appreciated.

That's what I thought. They seem to be "unballed" marimo moss balls. It looks pretty cool! I'm going to try it.

I agree, it looks like marimo moss aka Cladophora. Some of our marimo balls kind of fell apart and some of the pieces have started to grow on one of the pieces of cholla. I definitely like the appearance. It's also growing on the Matten filter, which is less attractive.
