What Kind Of Apisto Is This??

    The first looks like a Double Red Apistogramma agassizii and the second a Fire Red A. agassizii to me.

    Looks like an Apistogramma Agassizii. I didn't even know albino ones existed! The regular is a beaut. It looks like the albino has been getting beat up though ?

    It doesnt have red eyes like the albinos do.. i thought it was the female of the grey one

    Your right, it's not albino. Its certainly not a female Agassizii either.

    My first thought was A. Agassizii as well...

    Those are both domestically bred lines of A. agassizi. Second is called Gold or Blond. Both are males, the females do not have the spade shaped caudal or large dorsals full of color.

    Most of those come from Eastern European countries, though some in the US have been breeding the fish from there, so there may be a fair number of them available.
