A few days ago I discovered that one of my neon tetras has an abnormally large stomach like it's pregnant, and it seems to be getting bigger. Before I had another fish that was bloated and its stomach was much rounder, where as this one seems more pointy. She is very eager to eat and pretty active. What could I do?

Tank 32 gal: 9 neon tetras, 6 rummy nose tetras, 1 upside-down catfish
Setup 9 months, all parameters in check.
Food: once a day, alternates between tetramin crisps, crumbled sun-dried shrimp, and algae wafers

Hi Kath! Welcome to Fishlore!

Mine will look like that if they ate too much. Or she's constipated. Maybe cut back on the feeding and see if it improves?

If she's otherwise acting normally, just keep an eye on her for now.

Hello Kath and Welcome to Fish Lore,

If the fish seems to be constipated, check for bowel movements, frozen peas, thawed, blanched for a minute or two, then slice them in half and remove the shell. Cut the pea into sizes about the size of the fishes eyes. Peas act as a laxative for fish, high in protein.
Also remember, for most home aquarium fish, the fishes stomach is only the size of one of their eyes. This will help prevent over feeding.

Best wishes.
Ken
