What is wrong with my guppy ?

A couple of days ago, this little guy was just sitting on the bottom of my 30 gallon tank. Gills moving, fin movement, but not swimming.

I'd given them thawed out frozen blood worms that day, so I figured he'd overeaten and was feeling a little heavy.

He looked bloated and still wasn't moving much later that day - so I moved him into one of my 5 gallon tanks (inhabited by some snails and plenty of cabomba) to keep him away from the rest of the fish in case something is wrong.

He's swimming more now - kept checking out the camera, comes to the top when I open it.

But he looks too fat ? And just wrong somehow. I can't put a finger on it - but he does NOT look right to me.

 

Try feeding him shelled peas. They help with constipation.

 

Fresh out of peas at the moment - I can get out tomorrow to pick some up though.

 

I buy a bag of frozen peas and keep them in the freezer until I need some to feed. I then take them out and put a few in a bowl of warm water to thaw out. Once they have thawed out I pinch them to remove the outer skin and then feed the inter part of them to the fish. Most fish love them but some will not touch them. They work great for constipation.

 

I almost always have frozen peas in the freezer. But I also have 2 little boys who love peas, and they tend to disappear faster than I think I'm using them !

Yup - there's a bag in the freezer, but nary a pea to be found Silly kids.

Please don't suggest going out for any tonight - 3 kids all asleep, and the hubby is at work.
