What is this in the video? I wouldn't call it a sump, but I don't know what else to call it.. It's more like a water storage tank...

I don't really like his videos, but it is a water holding tank for water changes... it is supposed to be better for tanks with one of these... I know that a lot of saltwater hobbyists use these, but I haven't heard of many freshwater hobbyists using them...

no.. it is like you faucet water, but only it's been "curing" and cleaning... I don't know exactly what it is(hence the question)... and I don't think you would call it a sump either...

well, like I said above, they are mainly used for saltwater tanks. Check out this video at liveaquaria they have one just like aquarium tech's, but only it's a saltwater "thing"
