What is this white stuff coming off the back of my bladder snail?

HI all- I have a bladder snail who hitched a ride on some plants we bought. Didn’t want to kill it, didn’t want it in the main tank so I keep it in a critter keeper. It has grown a lot since we’ve had him. Lately I’ve noticed some wispy mucous looking stuff coming off the back of it. Is this normal? Possibly related to reproduction? I know they will reproduce without a partner snail. Also I think I found eggs in the plant??

 

not sure what the mucus is but those are eggs for sure. I have seen them all over in my 20 gallon which has been invaded by these snails.

They’ll breed endlessly, you’ll probably end up with a LOT of snails.

 

Snail lives matter! Lol. I keep my snails, even if they are pest snails, because personally, I think they are beneficial for my tank. Although I wouldn't want a crazy population. You can always control it easily of course.

I have probably about 25-30 baby snails in the tank and they are thriving nicely. The eldest snail has already laid a second round of eggs. Soooo will have some more baby snails again soon lol. Trying not to feed too much.
