What Is This On My Java Fern

    Found these plant like things attached to some of the leaves of my new Java Fern - what are they and will they be a problem in my tank - one plant seemed to have them more than the other two, so I kept that one aside for now. aTfNzj7gRQuAz8yKSHKQFw.jpgaTfNzj7gRQuAz8yKSHKQFw.jpg

    I think those little plant things attached to the Java Fern leaves are "baby Java Ferns". That's how it reproduces.

    It is.

    Basically that's how new plants are formed, besides cutting up an existing rhizome.

    If you don't like the looks of it you can simply remove the part of the leaf. When they are big enough (1-2 inch) I cut the old leaf and plant it like a normal plant in my tank. Works pretty well.

    I see the little sprout - but the brown things - are those also baby java ferns?
