What is this on driftwood?

my tank is finally cycled! but i put this drift wood in a couple weeks ago and this has developed. does anyone know what this is or what to do about it? is it harmful?

Is it kind of slimey? Wood will do that when you first put it in and then it goes away. You can clean it off or let the fish eat it.

yes, the slime first appeared and then that’s kind of gone away and now the white spot has showed up

Yes: as long as you got it from a reputable store then it should be fine, but if you got it from outside I would second guess keeping it in the tank.
