What Is This Fish?

Anyone know what kind of fish this guy is? I’ve had him for a while but I still don’t know

Could be a maylandia/zebra cichlid. Just a guess. Looks the closest to me.

Looks like a juvenile redbelly tilapia, but is probably crossed with a similar species. Chromedome52 will give you the correct answer when he gets the notification.

I love it with these cichlids they look do much alike I always get it wrong so I'll watch this one and save the embarrassment :rolleyes:

I think I saw that fish a couple of days ago on a Cichlid forum, answer is the same as I gave there - it is a juvenile of some species of "Tilapia", and the other post mentioned finding it in a tank of feeder ghost shrimp. It was probabably collected with the ghost shrimp in the wild, as several Tilapiines are established in Florida. Many species of the group look identical as young, Give it a few weeks, and perhaps it will develop some characteristics to help identify it better.
