What do you consider the smallist tank you could put them in?
I can go bigger if I need to but would a planted 1 gallon owl work for a couple off cherry shrimp.
any other thoughts of what would work better?
Thx Eric

I would go for a minimum of 3 gallons for the dwarf types, others would need a bigger tank. Anything less than a 3 gallon and parameters will not be very stable. Parameters and temperature can swing easily. Shrimp are sensitive things and don't do well in an unstable tank.
For amano shrimp and ghost shrimp 4-5 gallons would be better. Larger filter feeding shrimp should have 15-20 gallons minimum.

A 1 gallon would work for shrimp, it’ll just take a little bit of work to keep water perameters very stable. In a 1 gallon tank it will be at high risk for fluctuating. If you have the money and space you can keep a very large amount of shrimp in a 5 gallon and not have to worry as much about sudden water fluctuations.

You could always use the bowl for growing plants?

I had cherries in a 3 gallon, and they did fine. Nowadays the 3 gallon is just a hospital tank, though.

They are both quite large types of snail. I think you could do 2 rabbits or 1 mystery. If you want these snails then a larger tank wpuld be best imo.
