What is proper lighting for my tank?

Last night I replanted my 36g tank. I took the plants out about 2 months ago because the lighting that came with it wasn't near enough (only 17 watts). I moved the 17 watt fixture to my planted 10 gallon that used to have a 15 watt desk lamp on it. The fixture hangs out over the sides a little, but it makes the tank look great.

Anyway, what would be the best lighting for my 36g tank? Right now I have a 48in 80 watt light fixture on it, but it is way to long for the tank. The tank is 30in long and 24in tall. I want to get a light fixture that will grow low to medium plants. I also don't want to spend a ton of money on one either.

Your opinions and recommendations are greatly appreciated!

Get a NovaExtreme Dual Lamp Lighting Fixture or a Marineland LED Double Lighting System.

Those are the 2 I was looking at. Will the Marineland provide enough light for the plants? I've seen mixed reviews for it.

They should. When I had one on my 10 gallon, it was able to keep low-moderate light plants alive

Ok. I'm gonna look and see how much the Marineland fixtures are at my LFS. They are the only lights they have, so i'm hoping they are the same price as online so I don't have to order them online.

EDIT: I looked at more reviews of the Marineland and most of them were negative so I don't think i'm going to get that one. I saw this one on petco's website. Its a lot cheaper than most of the others and seems like a good one. Tell me what you think.
