What Is My Apontogeton Growing?

Is this a flower? I thought that grew above the water line. It's only about 4-5in high and my waterline is around 18-20in high.

Doesn’t look like a typical flower stalk, looks more like a plantlet similar to how swords reproduce... haven’t personally seen this happen in an aponogeton so I could be off base here...
“Typical” stalk will grow to water surface, then pod will begin to fill out, then open...
also possible influence is how long you have had it, could be used to another tank where water level was shorter...
Would need a better pic of the tip to have a more concrete idea
