HI I'm Kenny

I've been in this forum almost a day so I'm still pretty new but with all these members I would like to know what tank setup does everyone have!! I want to know everything from fish and plants to the base (gravel and sand).
I have a 10 gallon with a breeding pair GBR, a dojo loach, Bn pleco and a African dwarf frog. (Note:We do plan to get a bigger tank when they grow up.)

I've got too many tanks to go through them all lol so I'll just talk about my main community tank.

63 gallons
8 WCMM (4 gold, 4 normal)
8 Danios (2 longfin zebras, 2 normal zebras and 4 leopards)
5 Adult platies (1 male, 4 female)
9 young platies
1 female guppy
1 Bolivian ram
1 BN pleco
2 Dojo loaches
1 Amano shrimp (which I have been trying to catch for months to put in my shrimp tank)
3 nerite snails

I plan to get another dojo, another ram and 2 more danios

It has fine rounded black gravel but I plan to swap it for black sand for the loaches.

It is medium/heavily planted with live plants

BTW Your dojo and BN need cooler water than the GBR and the dojo and ADF are both social and should be kept in pairs or groups

I have two tanks- an 8 gallon grow out tank for guppy fry and a 12 gallon as a divided betta tank. The former houses 5 fry and an apple snail and the latter 1 betta fish along with an assassin snail.
Both tanks are moderately planted and dosed with Flourish twice weekly. Normal, fine sized gravel.

Nice tank sound great. We plan to get another dojo and 3-4 more frogs when we get the bigger tank and the dojo and GBR have been doing great in the temperature.

Currently I have a 85-90 gallon tank that is currently occupied by a Red Line Severum (Nuke), a Jack Depsey (Jackie) and a Blood Parrot (Red).

The tank is graced by pool filter sand that spread across the very tank with such grace and holds all sorts of poop and food that the three didn't find.

How about any plants? Currently this tank has a silk plant underneath the outtake flow and waves around like it doesn't care. It looks real but it isn't, but my guest doesn't have to know.

This tank is also accompanied by two terracotta plant bows that is currently housing nothing. The tenets like the fake driftwood.

120 Gallon Northern South American (Peruvian, mainly) community, pool filter sand for substrate and several big pieces of eucalyptus root driftwood for decor, no plants: a 4 inch female red terror (festae), 5 inch male green terror, 5 inch red wolf fish, 6 inch red-tailed barracuda, 6 inch pink-tailed chalceus, 7 inch striped gar, three 7 inch ornate pimelodus catfish, and two 6 inch electric blue jack dempseys (1 male, 1 female) and a 4 inch female regular dempsey which I know don't belong but will be moved eventually.

55 gallon Central American cichlid community: regular sand substrate, driftwood and rocks for decor, no plants: a 3" male firemouth, two 3" male rainbow cichlids, and a 3" baby vieja regani. I'm thinking of moving two of the dempseys in here once these guys grow out a bit, and get rid of the third.

IMG_0377.JPG60 gallon community with 2 blue marble angelfish, one dwarf gourami, and a small shoal of black neon tetra. It has smooth fine gravel, 2 Marineland HOB filters rated at 350 gph each, and an underpowered 150 w heater that keeps the tank at 78.5 degrees F. All the plants are fakes purchased to look as realistic as possible. I also keep a single male betta in a 10 gallon in the kitchen.

Hello!

This is going to be long lol...

2, 5g
- one Betta each
- gravel (for now...bought it when I first started, but now, I don't really like it, so I'm planning to change it to nicer substrate)
- one tank is a lot better planted and going to be upgraded to a aquascaped 10g. The other tank is a rehabilitation tank for my rescue.

10g
- work in progress. It's going to be Iwagumi-esque. It's the Betta upgrade.

15g
- 9 female Bettas (it's a sorority)
- really heavily planted and Amazonia substrate (I think?). I don't really have the details for his tank as my botanist friend planted it and I set up a sorority in it so she could use it for a project

20g long
- was going to be a community tank, but I ended up needing it for growing out and fry.

20g (breeder)
- for my angels (or discus, currently breeding my angels) when they're ready to spawn/when I'm working on a strain/line

55g
- solely my angelfish tank.
- bunch of swords, crypts, red rubins, Java fern varieties, and others I can't quite remember atm
- gravel, I hate it (for same reason as Betta tank), but it's being rescaped with the new 10g
- 6 angelfish/ 3 pairs (I know overstocked, but everything is well taken care of).
-1 pair= koi
-1pair = panda koi
-1 pair= super red

75g
- also a summer project
- probably sand+layered substrate
-most likely planted
- Asian community tank. Very excited for this one (tyguy7760 had a really awesome suggestion that I'm loving)

90g
-sole discus tank, there are 9 of them
- sand substrate
- no plants, too hard for the temp, so there just a teeny but if driftwood hardscape

350g
- bare bottom, no plants
- one little arowana

lol I think that's it. Sorry if it's lengthy, you wanted the details!!

Thank you! The discus tank isn't really beautiful, however, the fish are ! I have been growing them out and they require such frequent water changes that Ive held out on making it look nice. Now they are almost adults so I will be doing more to make it more aesthetically pleasing.
My 30 gallon I am working on as we speak- will post photos when done.

29 Gallon:
12 Platies (7 fry/juveniles)
5 Black Skirt Tetras
2 Corydoras (will get more)
128 Bladder Snails

A 5 gallon that is always ready to be set up for more platy fry
A 90 gallon that is going to house a oscar and a school of SDs
A fish bowl that I'm probably going to make into a liquidized sand filter

10 gal - Corydoras Pygmaeus species tank. I'm trying to breed them. Dirted tank. I'm growing Ammania Gracilis, Ludwigia Repens and Java Moss in that tank.

15 gal - Random tub at my yard which started as a place to grow cuttings from the plants I trimmed. Became a Platy colony as I bought 2 female platys to eat bugs and mosquitos and now I am starting to see fry appear everywhere... As I said, it is made of cuttings so It is mostly filled with Ludwigia Repens. Dirted too.

15 gal - Another random tub this time inside my home. Has 3 female Mollys and 7 Corydoras Paleatus. I'm moving the fish to their own 60 gal tub at my yard in a month. This one is barebottom because I am doing lots of water changes and it is just easier that way. I do have it packed with hornwort for the fish´s comodity. When the fish are moved out I'm probably gonna move it to the yard too, plant it and throw in some minnows or something.

36 gal - Currently has 6 Tiger Barbs and 3 male Mollys. The tank has been running for months but I just got the supplies I needed to start planting it. I don't know what I am gonna do with it. The only thing I'm sure is that I will put at least other 8 barbs inside. I also have a bunch of hornwort in that tank while the other plants fill in (again, for the fish´s comodity). The main plants would be a Jungle Val background, Amazon Swords to fill in a bit and Wisteria to hide the filter lol.

I hate gravel with all my heart so all my tanks have sand.

I got a moderately-heavily planted 75 gallon tank. I'll start off with equipment and stuff.

Tank - Top fin glass tank. Background painted black
Stand/canopy - both custom built. Painted black and white
Substrate - about 70lbs of regular black gravel
Filtration- 2x Fluval 406 canister filters
Lighting - Coralife T5HO light
Hardscape - driftwood and granite rocks

Now for the living stuff in the tank. Plant-wise I have:
Jungle vals
2-3 different anubias
Red tiger lotus
Crinum calamistratum
Hygrophila polysperma
Crypt wendtiI red
Bacopa caroliniana,
Pogostemon helferi
Staurogyne repens
Java fern
Frogbit
All plants get fertilized with either GLA dry ferts, DIY osmocote root tabs or the fish waste lol

The fish include:
1 male apistogramma cacatuoides triple red (getting 3-4 females)
13 neon tetra (getting 12 more)
5 harlequin rasbora (getting 15 more)
1 male platy
1 lemon blue eyed bristlenose pleco
1 oto (Rehoming)
A billion guppies (rehoming)
1 peppered cory cat (rehoming)
9-10 amano shrimp (getting 10 more)
1 nerite snail (getting 5 more)
20+ assassin snails
After I rehome some fish, I will be adding a group of 10 panda cory cats
Food: Lots of different dry flakes/pellets/wafers, frozen brine shrimp, bloodworms, plankton and mysis shrimp.

I think that's pretty much everything for my main tank lol. I've got 4 other smaller tanks. Sorry for the super long post

75g live plant and african cichlids. Half sand/half red gravel. Lava Rock. My Cichlids are actually coming in this Saturday. The tank is in my profile. I changed it a little with the red gravel. but it still has the same setup minus the two African onions in the back. They didn't make it (sad face). My water parameters are on point so the Cichs will be ok when I acclimate them in this saturday. I'm stoked about it!

What I ordered were:

2 - White tail Acei
4 - Snow Whites
4 - Yellow Labs
4 - Yellow Top Mbambas
1 - Elongatus Usisya
1 - ChailosI and
1 - Ochre (Red)

1 less than I wanted but I am waiting to get a Blueberry OB Zebra when one is available to me.

Plants:

2 - Java Fern
a lot of Java Moss
1 - Amazon Sword (Center Piece) and
1 - Anubias Nana

Like I said I had two Crinum African Onions but they didn't make it past 2 weeks. I planted them correctly with the bulb out 3/4 of the way like I was told. Not sure if they were defective or my water wasn't right for them. I will try them again eventually. I need some tall plants but not sure what else is compatible with the Afr. Cichs.

I agree with @FishFish21 that is too small Obi3ice you can try to get a 20-30 gallon and make it well planted then you can add a couple of females (2-3)

Any fish can stay in it as long as it's maintained properly. It's been happy ever since and I monitor the ammonia in it.

I miiiiight have a little bit of an addiction.

36 gallon bowfront - Flual 306 and Aquaclear 50 filters. Not planted because of the apple snails, but I keep some spare plants in a breeder box to help with nitrates. Stocked with apple, mystery, and Columbian ramshorn snails.

20 gallon tall - Dual undergravel filters and a Tetra Whisper 2-10I for peace of mind with filter media. Even with the two apple snails, I've got a few live floating plants in this tank. Stocked with one male elephant ear betta, two apple snails, and a few mystery snails.

20 gallon long - Tetra whisper 10-30I filter, lightly planted with one axolotl.

Fluval Spec 5 gallon - Stock filter put on either medium or high, I can't remember the exact setting. Very heavily planted tank with one female koi betta, three nerite snails, and a couple mystery snails.

2.5 gallon - Sponge filter. Heavily planted tank with one baby female betta and three snails (they're either very small rabbit/long nose snails or fairly large MTS. I'm honestly not sure!)

Jarrarium - No filter. Marimo moss ball and a few bladder snails. I change their water a couple times a week and feed them the smallest piece of green bean every once in a while so their water doesn't foul up. They seem to do great!

10 gallon terrarium - Heavily to lightly planted terrarium, depending on what I've got planted in there at the time. I keep land snails (helix aspersa and Florida chalksnails) and tend to plant edible plants like chia seeds that they mow down pretty quickly but germinate quickly as well. Keeps things fresh and interesting for them. I just spray it down a couple times a day with dechlorinated water, I don't have an automatic setup but live in a humid area and don't seem to need one.

Wow lots of snails and other interesting creatures, amazing!! I would love to see some pictures but they all and I mean all sound great!!

Wow both tanks sound great and beauty I would love to see some pics!

Here are a couple of pics of the full tank, and a link to a video or two if you're interested

Excuse the slightly cloudy water and the rocks used to weigh down not yet waterlogged driftwood

I hope I don't get hate for the 36 gallon - I know it's very overstocked, but I do daily maintenance and today I finally got in contact with another LFS that wants a large quantity of snails on Friday. So as of Friday that tank will no longer be overstocked! I feel so much relief. Daily large water changes are a lot of work and a lot of worry for their health. I started with seven snails...so let that be a warning to anyone who thinks eggs are harmless! The breeder box in the bowfront tank is how I keep some floating plants in there without the apple snails devouring them.

Here are my tanks - I'll have to take a picture of the axolotl tank later, she's in the living room because with her cooler temperature requirements, I keep her away from windows and under fans to keep her at a healthy temperature.
