Not sure about human food, bettas are carnivorous though, what do you feed at the moment? Could try daphnia, blood worm etc not that I particularly considered frozen fish food to be human food

White fish. Shrimp.

I gave my big old Oscar a piece of a McDonald's hamburger once. Bettas though? Maybe a piece of surimi? (imitation crab meat)

I personally wouldn't feed my bettas anything other than their specific fish food, frozen or live foods.

Lettuce? Yea no. They eat bloodworms, daphnia, worms, mosquito larvae, brine shrimp and even other tiny fish in their natural habitat.

i'm sure omnivores or herbivores will eat lettuce, but it's hard to get a betta to eat it because they're carnivores. correct me if i'm wrong, but, the betta might have a hard time digesting it, or they won't even eat it at all.

I would think it would be hard to get them to eat it. The theory could be a fiber source similar to feeding them a pea. That's another challenge to get them to eat them too.

I’ve fed my bettas a variety of fish and shrimp from the top of my sashimI and they went nuts! The one now test bites my hand when I put it in the tank to see if I have anything good. He also begs when he sees someone eating something.

Both my bettas like peas. Microwave a pea in water for 30 seconds. Remove outer shell of pea and cut into small pieces that will fit into the bettas mouth.

You can also soak fish food in garlic juice.

I have made snail jello using sweet potato baby food with fish flakes, freeze dried bloodworms, algae disc, crushed betta pellets. My betta Elmer loved picking at it and would guard it like it was his.

I don't think I could ever get my betta to touch lettuce. He won't even touch flakes. He only eats pellets and frozen food.
