What kinds of foods do you guys have? I remember once upon a time I thought flakes and algae was enough XD This is my collection for my bettas, tetras, and snails.

*I also feed the snails zucchinI occasionally*

I normally feed flakes and shrimp pellets(for the corries), but once or twice a week I feed a mix of frozen bloodworms and frozen brine shrimp, I also some days will feed hikarI first bites, or hikarI cichlid granules in place of flakes, and occasionally I drop in some freeze dried shrimp.

That looks like a familiar collection.

I didn’t find anyone really liked the algae wafers so far. Even left one overnight (I forgot about it) and it was a pile of hard to remove mush the next day. Wondering if there’s a better way to use them.

Currently I’m feeding my harlequins Bug Bites supplemented with HikarI freeze dried bloodworms a few times a week. I plan on diversifying their diet even more though.

I used mine and ground them in a mortar and pestle to make fry food

My cory love the waffa's and my fish but the tank gets vacuumed in that area the next day to remove the bits of food under the gravel.

Candace my fish get normal sized bug bites and the cory's love waffas and Tetra Tabimin tablets

Maybe once I get the 9 corys together it will be more popular.

The Tabimin tablets are ace and they seem to fizz and the other fish grab what comes off them.

Interesting, never heard of those. I’ll check them out.

So far they’ve been demolishing a mixture of sinking shrimp and veggie pellets with the occ. large flake that floats down from my odd angelfishes eating habits.

Though I have to add extra because the endlers in particular love to go down and pick at them. GouramI and angelfish do too now and then.

Here they are and what they look like, my cory's demolish them in no time...I have 6 cory but they get just one when they do have them and the rest of the fish hang about grabbing the bits in the water.

I crush the algae wafers up into tiny tiny bits and they love them. If I stick a wafer
In it looks like an uneaten pile of mold the next day! Just found that out this week

I crush all the food up bc my tetras won’t touch any food they can’t fit into their mouths (except bloodworms). Also who knew fish could be so adorable eating bloodworms? Not me!

Just curious, because I want to try to make food for my fish, how do you make your flakes/frozen food?

3-cups jumbo shrimp

8 cubes frozen blood worms
1/2 cup of spinach
6-algae wafers
1/2 cup preferred fish flakes
2-eggs
1-clove of garlic
5ml of Vitamin C
1/4 tsp Metroplex
5ml Vita Chem
1- cup of hot water
Mix everything in the processor and then put in minI ice cube trays and freeze.

Ken's Fish house brand of fish foods; their flake, pellets, wafers and sticks.

Ken's has quality foods that don't cloud the water. My fish always eat it all up.

His site also sells most other brands of foods for very competitive prices.

Fish Food

Also slices of cucumber.
