What Fish To Get?

I am soon ready to add new fish to my 27 gal tank. I have 5 zebra danios and would obviously like to keep those. I am looking for some fish with really bright colors, maybe a few small schools and some "centerpiece" fish? My pH is around 7.4-7.6 and the temp has been 74-76 consistently. Anyone have any ideas about what I can add?
Here is my list of fish that interest me so far:
Kuhli Loaches (I heard these actually get much bigger than I had expected?)
    African Dwarf Frog
African Cichlids (I know this is very broad, any specific suggestions?)
    Ghost Shrimp
    Tiger Barbs
Any input would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

Dwarf frogs and Cichlids would probably eat the danios once they get bigger. Plecos are freeloaders, if you want something to eat algae I would recommend a Nerite Snail, those suckers are awesome.
Pretty much anything listed you could get. Personally, I would do like five kuhli loaches as the bottom feeders. Then either up the Danio school or do a school of Neons and add a Betta. OR get a couple gouramis, thought the number would depend on which gouramis you like as some get bigger than others.
But that's what I would do.

The size of the kuhli loach depends on the species. Black kuhlis stay smaller than common Kuhlis for instance. Beyond that I agree with what she said.
