What Fish Can I Breed In The Same Tank As My Bn Plecos?

Hey all,

I have a 100 gallon Rubbermaid stock tank that is being used for a breeding for profit project that I have. Here's a bit of info on this tank.

So my question here is what other fish can I breed with my BN Plecos that I can sell? My LFS that I'm selling to has already told me not to sell them Cherry Shrimp, Guppies, and any other kind of Livebearer (They get all these for free from multiple customers). They told me if I wanted to sell shrimp that I should breed a more rare type of shrimp. They also were very excited to hear that I sell plecos because those sell like hotcakes at that store.

Do you guys have any suggestion on shrimp and fish that could get be at least a buck per fry? I prefer that the fish/shrimp that you list below are prolific breeders.

Thank you all in advance.

I've read somewhere that kribs are aggressive. Will they eat my bristlenose fry?

Unlikely in a tank that big. They shack up in their own caves and spawn non stop.

I've been considering Kribs myself... And I agree with the Kribs suggestion if you have the water and space for it! They would do fine with the BNs from what I've gathered so far. I'm far from an expert it's something I've just started looking into myself.

Kribs will pick off BN fry when they first emerge from the father's care. They are vulnerable with the egg sacs, and every fish will eat them. If you want to breed BNs for profit, one species per tank.

You'll never get 100% yield, but in a stock tank I think you'd be able to harvest a conserable amount of both species. They'll spawn readily. If you remove the eggs and hatch them in separate tanks you could do very well.
