What exactly do you use 'blogs' for?

Ok maybe its a dumb question, probably is but I want to just make sure. I've browsed through fast. I make out that its basically just for putting down everything you are doing with your tanks, starting from day 1?

 

Ya pretty much, changes, day to day log of setting up a new tank etc.

Just start from when the blog was set up. Or at least that's what I did.
