What Eheim Canister is this?

Hi,

I found this canister filter on Craigslist but it doesn't say exactly which model it is but it does mention that it is suitable for a 30 gallon tank. Based on the photo I believe it is an Eheim Ecco but I'm not sure which one.

Also, would it be worth paying $30?

Definitely an ecco. They're now discontinued by Eheim, only the ecco pros are sold (well in Asia/Australia).

Bit hard to tell which one it is, but it looks a little like the smallest one in the range, with the smaller canister, you'd need to contact the seller to confirm though.

 

I wouldn't say yes or no until a model number is provided. What one person thinks is OK for 30 gallons might be completely off base. Also, bioload comes into play.

That said, I don't recall anything in the ecco line that I saw that wouldn't be rated at least than 30 gallons. Still, I wouldn't buy until I could see exactly what I'd be getting.

 

Well I had asked the seller and was waiting for the reply so I figured I would check with you all. Turns out it was sold already.

Oh well I guess I'll just wait for the next deal to come around!

 

Looks like an Eheim Ecco Pro 130 which is what I have. Its rated at 130 litres ( around 34 gallons ) max, but more suited to around 100 litre tank (26 gallon). Same one I have, brilliant filter, very very quiet.
