What does everybody do for a living?

HI guys and gals. I was wondering what we all did for a living. I am an IT consultant (logistics software specialist). If you manage to understand what I do, you'll do better than all my family and friends! I am a little bit like Chandler in friends: noone knows what I do, my boss especially!

yeah. they sure are. eventually, hundreds of years from now, I'll be done with college and can hopefully work more with routers, switches, servers, and ports than users.

Well my career path has not worked that way. I've gone from users to customers (I implement software projects). They're only remotely less annoying and remotely more technical. Argh, I dream of a world full of techies. Mmmmmm... Everyone would make decent summaries and noone would waffle on about the fact that 'your database is broke, man!', referring to software that is not remotely related to databases, and not giving any more details.

Give me patience...

..yeah. or give me another fish tank to think about and plan so I can tune out the users until they're done whining.

I don't want to pair 2 red tailed sharks up in my tank because people say they are not compatable tank mates. so I was wondering if there are any sharks out there that will get along in groups of 4/5 ?.

I'm sure there are, but this is not the proper forum for that type of inquiry. If you were to post in the species specific forum I'm sure others with shark experience can offer you plenty of suggestions and recommendations. Good luck!

Oh my. How do you ever get fish-time? Mom and Dad helped me loads during my studies, so I can't relate. I think it's really courageous to finance your own studies. 2 jobs! And what jobs, hey.

I think that a gas jockey is someone who rides a cow - since they are always farting holes into the ozone layer..

What's one of those? (Rapid Response Vehicle). Like an ambulance or the fire brigade?

its a 4x4 vehicle ' people carrier slightly bigger than a car' which you can buy from a garage. then it gets a makeover with sirens/lights/extra car battery and has life saving equipment etc on board. it carries a spinal board but there is no room in vehicle to transport a patient on it to hospital., but it can be used to get a patient with suspected spinal injuries ready for when the ambulance arrives. I can treat people with minor injuries at scene or transfer them to nearest a&e. main use is to be on scene as soon as possible if ambulance is already on a call. and treat that person until assistance arrives.
