What do your plecos eat?

My bn pleco is so picky she doesn’t eat cooked zucchini,cucumber or broccoli. Also no algae wafers. How I can tell is I put them in at night and the next day none of the food will be gone she loves omega one shrimp pellets though is that enough? What are some ideas?

Some people feed them green beans, usually the french cut ones as they are already cut open. Least it is eating the pellets, so that is something. What kind of wafers you feeding?

Hikari and/or bug bites pleco stick things

 

You can also add driftwood. Just make sure it is soaked well to reduce the tannins. Lots of plecos love to rasp on it and it is good for them.

I have some in there, by the way do you know by chance if I can feed canned peas I noticed that in the ingredients I’m pretty sure there’s a small amount of salt and/or sugar

 

I would do frozen peas- shelled and boiled. It is also easier to take a few from the bag and save the rest for later. Some other fish like them too. You may be able to do the canned- I am sure the sugar/sand will boil out, but I have never tried it.

I’ll try it tonight might as well I’ll feed like only a half but ya I agree frozen is the best
