What Do You Feed Your Ghost Shrimp?

sup. what do these guys eat? sinking shrimp pellets? fish flakes? i'm not gonna feed it fish flakes. veggies? nerite snail poop? please say nerite snail poop.

i'm thinking about trying out a single ghost shrimp for my 10 gallon. i'm really hoping my betta doesn't try to eat it. that would stink. i'm gonna quarantine the shrimp for at least 2 weeks to make sure it doesn't have any parasites or whatever other nasty stuff petsmart is known for

i'm thinking it'll eat my fluval bug bites and frozen spirulina brine shrimp, but I want to see what else everyone feeds them. I'll probably get some omega one shrimp pellets or whatever looks the healthiest. my piggy betta will probably try to eat it all though

I feed shrimp the shrimp pellets and they will eat whatever left over food is on the bottom of the tank to.

Hahahaha. It depends. My Betta is a big time ghost shrimp eater. Comes to a point that he will only eat shrimp now. No flakes, no pellet. Shrimp only. Hahaha. In terms of feeding them, I would not say snail pooop... don’t know how nutritious they are. But anything that sink to the bottom. I have my shrimp eat flakes also shrimp pellets. Once in a while I will throw some vegetable for the snails and they will gladly eat them.

I never fed my ghost shrimp, they stole food from the others.

I have a single ghost shrimp that lives in my son's 5.5 gal tank with his female betta. They get along fine.

I also have a 10 gallon ghost shrimp tank and feed them sinking shrimp pellets and sometimes I drop a couple freeze dried brine shrimp in there. They mostly eat whatever grows on the plants and substrate.
