What do you feed sparkling gouramis? How much?

I have two juveniles and they've been jn my tank for a week and they don't really appear to eat. Guppies and emver tetras make a huge feeding frenzy at the top of the tank but the gouramis don't seem interested? Whst do yours eat? I am currently feeding a combo of tropical flakes and tropical micropellets that drift slowly toward the bottom. I have sinking algae eafers and carnivore wafers but the guppies seem to get all of that too when I've tried tossing one in for the gouramis. I have plenty of live plants to nibble on and they appear to be acting the same. Would you just assume they aqre getting enough and if they are hungry they will come compete with the other fish?

I've heard sparking gourami do best in species only tanks. I believe this was why, they also are very picky. I would try frozen or live brine/mytis shrimp.

Picky enough to starve? Thanks for the suggestion on ffiods to try. Would they act different if they were starving to death? They can't need much to eat the bigger one is not even a half inch long yet.

Some fish do not recognize flake or pellet as food, they are not trying to starve to death but they might. How long have you had them? They may still be shocked. My pearls which are not nearly as sensitive took almost a week before they would eat.

Brought them home on the 22nd so just over a week. They seem to pick at the sand a bit so may be getting little pieces that fall to the bottom that I can't see?

For now just keep an eye on them to make sure they are not losing weight, you may need to set up another tank for them, or rehome their tank mates.

I fed mine Omega One flakes, frozen Brine shrimp and baby Brine Shrimp.
They have small mouths. Try crushing the flakes for them.
