A 36 gallon bowfront with roughly 30lbs of dry rock, sand, a reef octopus protein skimmer, an Aqua Clear 70 (with intank media basket and media). Plan on keeping LPS (frogspawn, acans, torch, brain, blastos), mushrooms and zoas.

To grow corals you need proper lighting. LED's seem to be better as they last a long time and are cheaper in the long run because you don't have to keep buying new bulbs. As for powerheads, make sure to have some good flow in your tank. I forgot the turnover rate for SW systems, I believe it's 10x-20x? Not sure. Do you have an RODI unit? This will really help. But you can use RO water as well , just not tap water.

10-20x is for FOWLR tanks. You want to aim for 20-30 for LPS and 30-50 for SPS reefs.
