What do baby guppies need

I found 2 baby guppies in my tank todau while doing a water change, I scooped them out and put them in a 2.5 gallon with a prefilter from a cycled tank and a filter cartridge from a cycled tank, this is my first time with female guppies and I thought it would be interesting to try and save a couple fry and raise some babies just to see what its like, what will they need to grow up food wise, I have some tropical flakes, will crushing those up work? And how long should I keep them in a separate tank before theyre safe with the rest of my guppies

Crush the flakes up into a powder and they should work. Daphnia, microworms, and BBS can be fed too.
Do you have a heater on the babies' tank?
Keep them separated from the adults until they are bigger than the adult guppies' mouths which is generally around 1 month.

Alright sounds good, and no I dont have a heater in the tank but my room is warm and keeps all my tanks at a steady 76 degrees

Best of luck! Could you post some pics on their growth rate? I'd love to see them.

You can boil an egg and give them a toothpick worth of the yoke for a good source of protein for them. But the most important thing you will need for baby guppies are a LOT of tanks. If you found 2 and you have a pregnant female chances are there r more fry and you will continue to see them for as long as you have a guppy in the tank. Good luck!

Yes I plan on adding something to the tank that will eat the fry and keep the population in check like a gourami, I just wanted to try and raise a couple to see how things go
