red ludwigia requires higher light and CO2 amounts that normally only high tech tanks can do. Do you have a high tech setup with CO2 injection, regular fert dosing, and high PAR value light?

As for java fern, it can be hit or miss, that could just be some melt experience with new plants, as the older growth dies off, but new growth should replace it.

We need more info on your setup and fertilizer dosing schedule.

Thank you!

Light: Finnex Planted+ 24/7 SE (Hard to find PAR information)

Fertilizer: Seachem Flourish, Flourish Advanced, Iron, and Excel

I don't have CO2 injection, but I am currently researching what I need to purchase next month.

You won't have success with the Red Ludwigia. you can grow the standard version of ludwigia with no issues though. Also ludwigia is more of a root feeder, they need root tabs or some other form of substrate fertilization.

Thank you! I'll switch it out for the standard version of Ludwigia! I do have root tabs which I use for the Amazon swords, but I didn't know that Ludwigia also utilizes it as well.
