I got a used "beta" tank that I am using to grow some of my smaller plants in. Im keeping some shrimp and Chili rasbora in my 10 gallon, and I was thinking maybe using it to quarantine 3 chillies at a time. and maybe use it as a shrimp tank for culled shrimp from my 10 -gallon, is this reasonable?

I have a clip on LED light that is much brighter than the light that came with the tank, hopefully the plants will do fine with both on.

I plan on adding more hiding spots. thoughts?

Shrimps or snails could go in a 1.5 gallon tank. Fish-wise...not so much.

Your idea(s) seems pretty solid. Just don't keep it as a stock tank for fish as mentioned.

A shrimp community would be great in there. Maybe just a few more live plants, and you should be good!

Shrimp might be most enjoyable. More plants, or carpet. Try out co2?
