Aside from pellets, flakes, dietary foods and the such designed for fish it says on a oranda care site to try and includes veggies in the fishes diet. So, I'd like to know what fruits and veggies of the such I can safely feed my comets and oranda babies.

to make it easier to remove the uneaten food, you can buy veggie clips to hold the fruit, at the local pet store

Good morning,

I use plant anchors to weigh my veggies down for my fish. (link below)

If you are going to add the veggies by the slice, I suggest that you score the sliced veggie. Take a knife (children be careful or get your parents help) and make a tic tac toe board on the veggie. It will make it easier for the fish to feed from. You can score the veggie a lot to be even easier.

Or just cut it up into really small pieces and feed it to the fish.

i use dried seaweed with veggie clips, sometimes zuchinni or cucumber but I always cut out the soft part with the seeds because it fouls the water.
