My favourite is my Eheim jäger - never a deviation on that tank unless the house warms up......which rarely happens, as my family has decided that a temperature above 25is deathly hot

I'm still wearing sweats in the summer some days!Lol

I also have a Top fin, which is set about four degrees off of where I actually have the tank, due to inaccuracies in the build/temperature guage and a new aqueon preset.....I'm holding out judgement on that one, I only bought it last night

I love that store! I live like half an hour from it. Its called that fish place I go there for everything. ill actually be there tomorrow.
I personally like the fluval heaters. They're less prone to problems like electrocution and cracks etc than some glass heaters. Marineland has some decent ones too.

+1 on Fluval heaters. FME they seem very accurate (+/- 1 degree)

I own/use four of them.

Cool. That's my biggest problem with the one I have. I have it set at 76. It's currently 72 in the tank. Grrrr. If I turn it up it goes well above 80. Now mind you it will also turn on when it makes no sense to. Tank temp during the warmer months was pushing 80 ish and I have it set at 76ish and still it would bump on. Blah!!!!

I bought eheim heater and am very unhappy with it. It keeps going between 75 and 79. Not to mention that I had to set it on 68 for the temperature to be anywhere near 76. It is worse than even off-brand Chinese heaters I have in my other tanks. In fact, I have no complaints about those.

I have been using lineba heaters. They keep my tank temp very stable. It has a digital readout that's two degrees off.

I can tell you that as a "local" to that store, I only buy fish and plants (and some meds) from That Pet Place, That Fish place, generally equipment is cheaper on Amazon (Prime).

I buy everthing but fish on amazon. Lol. Even parts for my truck. Guess I just hate going shopping and you can't beat the prices. I'm patient I filled a 75 gallon tank with fake plants from china for around $50. I live less than 2 hours away from there and have never been there.

I've only had experience with Hydor, and Tetra.
Hydor is a good brand, also Eheim.

Yes, it certainly is impressive (the first time you go). Think of it as the 'walmart' of pet stores, they have a huge freshwater and saltwater fish room, and a huge inside pond with stingray's. Sign up for their pet's reward program for better pricing.

I'm 14 hours away, but if I am ever in that part of the world, I'd take a look. They have a good reputation.
All heater manufacturers make lemons. I have decent fluvals and eheims. I have had bad ones too. It is a question of luck.

Give us a review when you get home.

Anymore it seems like the big names in aquarium equipment there quality is going down hill and the cheaper made in china stuff has surpassed them. Just my opinion.
